Expedition Skills

Expedition Training

The cadet forces provides many opportunities for adventurous training, and expeditions are one of the most common ways that cadets experience these. These can be under the adventurous training scheme, as a part of the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, or on one of the many courses that is offered by the Cadet Centre for Adventurous Training.

This section walks through some of the basic skills associated with expeditions, as well as some handy hints and tips from the experts.

Other sections also contain vital information for expeditions:see the Map and Compass section for more information on Navigational skills, and the First Aid section has advice on handling emergencies.
