Military knowledge is not taught as a scheduled subject in the syllabus, however it is useful to allocate teaching time, as this subject is both useful to know, and can be extremely interesting. A military knowledge syllabus could contain some of the following:
Rank structure of the cadet forces, and the British Army.
Uniform, and its insignia such as the TRF and qualifications badges.
The structure of the military and how affiliated units fall within this, and the relation of this to the cadet forces.
The military today: operations and deployments.
Equipment of the British Army, covering vehicles, artillery, aviation, personal equipment and weapons, and latest technology.
